Hosanna: A Painting, A Prayer, A Praise

Hosanna – A Visual Hallelujah

There’s something sacred about the word Hosanna. It’s not just a cry for help—it’s a cry of hope, of praise, of trust in something greater than ourselves.

In Hebrew, Hosanna means “save us now.” It’s the shout of the crowd as Jesus entered Jerusalem, palm branches waving, hearts stirred. And it’s a word that still echoes through time, asking for salvation, but doing so in full faith that it will come.

That energy—the tension between desperation and celebration—inspired my newest painting, Hosanna.

Layers of gold represent divine presence, sacred covering, and the weight of glory. The sweeping motion of magenta, teal, violet, and olive green evoke movement, surrender, and rebirth. There’s a sense of rising and pouring out—a praise that starts deep within and spills over the edges.

This piece is about lifting up your heart even when you don’t know the outcome.

It’s for those moments when you say:
“I don’t have it all figured out, but I still believe.”
“I still praise.”
“I still create.”

Whether you need saving or celebrating, Hosanna meets you there.

Hosanna is available now in my shop. I hope it speaks to your soul.
