There are moments in life that don’t ask permission before they arrive — the phone call about a diagnosis, the slow fade of someone’s memory, the long vigil beside a hospital bed. And in those moments, most of us feel profoundly helpless.
But what if there was another way to be present? What if the people we love who can no longer speak were still reaching out — and there were those gifted enough to hear them?
That’s exactly what this week’s guest on Your Radiant Spirit, Helen of Divine Health Alliance in Charlotte, North Carolina, does every day.
From Corporate Boardrooms to Sacred Healing Rooms
Helen’s path to this work wasn’t linear — it rarely is. Like many people in the healing space (myself included), she spent years in corporate HR, where her natural intuitive gifts quietly ran under the surface. She always seemed to know things about people — their skills, their potential, where they could truly flourish — without being able to explain how.
It wasn’t until a series of significant life events — including caring for her aging father and his wife through Alzheimer’s and the end of life — that the deeper calling became impossible to ignore. What she discovered in those tender, difficult months changed everything: she had the rare ability to connect energetically with people who could no longer communicate on the physical plane.

What Are Trapped Emotions — and Why Do They Matter?
Before we can understand Helen’s work with dying, it helps to understand her broader philosophy of healing. At its core, she works with what are called trapped emotions — the unprocessed feelings that get lodged in the body when life events happen too fast or feel too big to hold.
“Trauma is trauma,” she told me during our conversation. “It doesn’t matter if it’s a capital T or a lowercase t. If you felt abandoned, scared, unseen — that emotion doesn’t just disappear. It gets stored in the body.”
Over time, those stored emotions create a low vibrational frequency in the body — and that frequency, Helen explains, is often where dis-ease begins. Using tools like the Emotion Code, soul retrieval, and cord work, she helps her clients identify and release what’s been hiding beneath the surface.
One of the most striking things she shared is that many of us are also unknowingly carrying emotions from the collective — the fear, grief, and anxiety swirling in the world around us — without realizing they’re not even ours. If you’ve ever felt suddenly anxious with no clear reason, this concept might resonate deeply.
On Angel’s Wings: Sacred Support at End of Life
Perhaps the most extraordinary part of Helen’s work is her offering called “On Angel’s Wings” — a sacred passage service for those who are nearing the end of life, or for the families walking alongside them.
Working mostly remotely, Helen connects energetically with individuals who have Alzheimer’s, are in comas, or are in the final stages of dying. She can sense what they’re experiencing, what fears may be keeping them tethered here, and what messages they most need to send — or receive.
In one powerful story she shared, she connected with a man on life support who had deep guilt about his past. During their session, divine guides appeared — and what followed was a conversation of profound forgiveness and peace. Within days, he transitioned.
“I can go in and help untie and untether the chakras from the physical body,” she explained. “And allow the soul, when it’s ready, to move up and out.”
She also helps families understand things like: does my loved one want me in the room when they pass? Are they in pain? What are they afraid of? This kind of clarity, she says, is one of the most healing things she can offer the people left behind.
